Learning from the Pandemic: Reimagining the Inclusive Classroom
About Course
The National policy on education defines special education as a customized educational programme designed to meet the general needs of all special needs people that the general education programme cannot cater for. Schools are required to arrange regular sensory, medical and psychological screening assessments to identify children requiring special education. All necessary facilities, equipment, materials and other assistance devices that would ensure easy access must be provided. How have we performed with special education in our public schools? Even in inclusive private schools? What support did learners with disabilities receive during the period of school closures last year? Were they included or excluded? What effects does being in an inclusive setting have on a learner with a physical or learning disability? How does a parent balance the relationship with their other children despite the pressure? These questions are answered in this free webinar.Topics for this course
